In an effort to provide the membership more opportunities for input, the Board Meeting format is changing. The Open Forum for members will begin at 6:00 PM and go no later than 6:30 PM. Any member may provide input at that time. The current forum rules will apply with each member being able to address the Board for up to three minutes. A Board member may briefly respond to statements made or questions posed. Speakers must observes rules of decorum and not engage in disruptive behavior. If a speaker is in the middle of a sentence when time is called, he/she may finish their thought before sitting down. Speakers may not allot their time to others. All persons must follow the Meeting Rules listed at the bottom of the agenda.
In an effort to provide additional input, members may address the Board when specific actions are proposed like the Cut Out Policy which will be considered at our next meeting. The same rules of decorum and three minutes would apply and any comments would have to be germane to the issue that the Board is considering adopting. Consent items like a Motion to approve/amend the Treasurer’s Report would not allow for membership input nor would committee or management reports.
