Kudos to our Neighbors!

Thanks to Coach Derda’s wrestlers from our three community high schools: River Ridge, North Thurston, and Timberline for volunteering community hours to help the set up and take down for our summer party.

Yep, it’s that time again.

This years community garage sale will be held on:
August 3rd — 8:00 am to 4:00 pm

Once again it will be advertised in the newspaper as well as on Craig’s List. There will also be signs showing a community sale. If you want to participate in the advertising, call Jackie Rudnicki at the Cap City Dedicated Phone Number: (360) 259-8940

Hint: Staff appropriately so you can watch the cash and avoid folks wandering into your home. Okay, start emptying the attic, garage, storage sheds, closets, etc. Sell enough that you can retire and go to garage sales!


Let’s Put The Fence Issue To Bed!

In July, 2010, the Board of Trustees adopted a resolution that raised the fence or wall height limit to five (5) feet instead of four (4) feet. This does not include or limit net or mesh fences designed to protect against injury from errant golf balls and the ruling was not retroactive.

If anyone wishes to build a fence or wall higher than the 5 feet, it must be submitted to the Architectural Control committee for approval. There are a number of steps that must be taken involving neighbors permission, etc. Contact Bob Moore for approval.

Please consider this to be the official notice to all members of the community.

Dues In Arrears Are Becoming More Costly

As of June 1, all overdue dues will accrue a 1% per month interest fee. A statement to that effect is going to all overdue accounts. That’s really going to add up and we are going to aggressively use collection agencies and liens to collect the funds. This does not apply to those making regular monthly payments.

Remember to make your check to CCGCE, include account number 408136-90, include your lot number and mail it to:

If you’re set up to do Bill Pay with your bank or credit union you can pay electronically. You will need your lot number, account number 408136- 90 and request that the check be made out to CCGCE.

If you need to enter a phone number, use (360) 259-8940. Some haven’t included a lot number or address so it’s taking time to track down and record the payment. If you paid electronically and still received a bill, call Jackie at the new Cap City number, (360) 259-8940.

Giving Back

We’ve gotten a huge amount of positive feedback from the waste bins that Bob Moore arranged for the community. We were taken by surprise at how well they were utilized. We hope to do this every year.

The only negative comments came from one gentleman who felt we had no right to spend the community’s money in this manner. It’s the community’s money—why not spend it on the community? He also questioned spending on the summer party. But so many people in Cap City requested a social event, we felt it was time to honor those requests.

Last year, we budgeted $500 for the party but only actually spent $197. Hopefully this year a lot more people will come so we’ll spend more. That’s ok. That’s what it’s for.

And do you know, if everyone paid their dues (there are $21,000 in arrears) we could do even more for the community. That’s our goal. A happy, healthy, attractive, thriving, friendly community of people helping people, residents working together to overcome problems. Here’s to a great future for Capitol City Golf Club Estates!
