Last night, on May 14th at approximately 8:00 pm, a driver veered off Rainier Road and hit a Capitol City house at the corner of 66th and Rainier Road.
The house was severely damaged with the family dog being killed that was inside of the house at the time of the collision. The family cat, a white one with a short tail, also ran away as a result of the incident.
All other members of the family were severely shaken but otherwise uninjured. The driver of the vehicle, according to Lacey Police, was transported to a local hospital for evaluation. The HOA President and Secretary were on site and offered any HOA assistance that is available.
After the collision the house was shored up so that it did not collapse.
