My Update Report About the Lacey Post Office
and its Erratic Service to our Neighborhood

Hello Neighbors,

[March 6, 2017]  I sent a letter of concern to the Lacey Post Office about erratic mail delivery service in our community.

My conversation with the Lacey USPS determined:

  • Contrary to popular thought the CCGCE is not a training area for the Lacey Post Office but does have a number of different carriers serve the area with a few being recent hires
  • Determined that the bulk of the complaints are in the area of SE Congressional and SE 64th Ave.
  • A single new carrier serves the Congressional and SE 64th Ave. Area
  • The Lacey Post Office is now conducting an investigation and will take appropriate steps
  • Once a final determination has been made and action taken I will report back what was done

[April 6, 2017] I, again, spoke with the Lacey Post Office today as a follow up to my previous concerns about erratic mail delivery service and they indicated that they had spoken to the Carrier who delivers mail in the area most reported as having mail problems. Also, a missed delivery report was also filed about medicine that was delivered to the wrong address.

I urge anyone having any future mail problems to contact the Lacey Post Office at 360-459-8988 and tell them about it.
