Our Neighborhood Watch Committee leader, Gabriel R., is scheduled to report to the Association during the July Board Meeting, at the Woodlands off the Yelm Highway near Lowes.
Gabriel has been working to develop a system for neighbors to watch out for and report any suspicious activities—and she needs your help!
Would you like serve on our Neighborhood Watch Committee? Contact Gabriel and let her know you want to work with her on the committee for your neighborhood. Or call and leave a message for her at Vantage: (360) 455-4464.
You may also want to to attend the July 21st meeting. Working together, we can watch out for one another and help prevent crime.
Several years ago, Thurston Co.’s Sheriff Snaza was invited by the board to present his ideas about preventing crime through proactive measures by home owners. He told us that there were limited resources from county personnel and that the majority of crimes are solved by the community—not the officers—so having systems and procedures in place is important. Sheriff Snaza wrote to the community about the importance of a Neighborhood Block Watch on Thurston Co.’s web site.
