Neighbors: if you see runners and walkers in our neighborhood, please welcome them
You’re also invited to join in every Saturday morning for a fun-filled morning of exercise—at your own pace
Joggernauts was started by Scott Kampen a few years ago. He wanted to form a community for people of all ages and abilities who wanted to get fit and have fun. Scott’s mapped out different routes and goes out at 8 am, ahead of the event, to place signs on the route in order to alert drivers and the community. One day, when the group was approaching our neighborhood, Scott noticed the sign saying “private roads,” and contacted President Larry Dittloff to get permission.
This post is to let our community know that if they see joggers or signs on the streets—Scott has cleared it with President Larry. Bring your children, your well-behaved dogs on a leash—and if you bike over to Thrive, lock your bike there and pick it back up when you return.
Scott writes:
Our weekly 5k (and 5 miler optional route) starts at the parking lot outside the Thrive Community Fitness Center, at 5401 Corporate Center Loop and from there we head out on a new route each week. This is open to the public and is absolutely free.We meet around 8:50 am so people can stretch, get water, use the restroom, and sign in. Then shortly after 9am we take a group pic and head out on that days route. Oh and once you reach 10 jog or nots with us, you get cool medals for free. Well, you do have to jog or not for it ten times. 😃
Look for our group on Facebook by searching groups for “The Lacey Joggernauts” and then click join.

Hope to see you and your fellow community out there with us one day.
